Tiecen Payne is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at ScenicView Clinic, where she works with adults navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, life transitions, and seasons of emotional overwhelm.
Tiecen’s counseling approach is trauma-informed, resilience-focused, and deeply practical. She believes therapy should be a place where clients feel genuinely understood, while also gaining tools that help them function, heal, and move forward with more confidence.
She is currently completing advanced dual training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling and is an RSA Scholar, part of a federally funded graduate program supporting future leaders in mental health and rehabilitation services. Her work is especially centered on trauma recovery, grief processing, identity rebuilding, and helping clients regain stability after difficult or disruptive life experiences.
In addition to her work at ScenicView Clinic, Tiecen facilitates grief and trauma retreats through The Wellness Farm and has provided career counseling support for women re-entering the workforce after significant life changes. Before entering the counseling field, she spent many years in business leadership and strategic communication, which gives her a strong appreciation for the very real pressure many clients carry while trying to keep life moving.
Tiecen creates a counseling space that is compassionate, grounded, and judgment-free, where clients can process pain, build resilience, and begin trusting themselves again.
